I am a keen and enthusiastic nude life drawing model, based in the North
in Runcorn, Cheshire, mid-way between Chester, Liverpool and Manchester.
I am a Londoner by origin, and moved up here four years ago.
In London, I modelled 24/7, working for prestigious bodies such as the
Royal Academy schools, the Princes Drawing Studios, London Portrait Gallery,
University of the. Arts, in fact a whole range of insttutes, schools, clubs, etc.
Life drawing /painting/sculpture/photography: you name it, I did it! .
I also did film and TV work where nudity was required. I was one of the
five models used about five years ago in Channel 4's programme
"Life Class - Today's Nude." This involved a series of five half hour programmes,
each with a different model, introduced by a renowned artist, such as
Maggi Hambling, who would set up a couple of poses which the viewer would
be invited to draw, and upload the results to the C4 website.
I'm also a member of the Society of Catholic Artists, and one of my specialities is modelling for religious
and biblical themes, which offer plenty of scope
for depicting the nude figure. The most recent piece of work I did in this genre was replicating the deposition
of Christ from the Cross -this was a profound spititual experience to say the least. I've described this side of
my work in considerably greater detail in my essay "Naked before God: Reflections of a Catholic Life Model"
which can be found on the Art Nude website via link below
