I am a retired computer engineer that took up drawing and painting as a retirement project. I quickly became involved with drawing and painting portraits and figures simply because I was no good at and I was determined to become better. Being predominately left brained actually helps in figures and portraits - it sorts out the major features and allows me to progress in a logical fashion. In the process I am lucky enough to have a number of collectors of my nude/partially nude paintings and have won ribbons for several portraits. I now teach drawing, oil painting, color mixing/theory, perspective, advanced oil painting, and portrait/figure drawing. We have our own studio because my wife is also an artist. We can accommodate a number of artists at a time in our studio. The studio is located at 3767 N. 162nd Lane in Goodyear, Arizona, United States of America.
