I am a bodypainting and bodycasting artist, nutrition scientist and wannabe creative person. I am developing a long-term project to combine art and science for innovative public engagement and science communication activities. The concept involves experimenting with body painting, body casting and photography to create exhibits and promotional material with visual impact to showcase different body types (such as healthy, overweight, obese, athletic); to encourage healthy eating; and to show the effect of unhealthy lifestyle choices on body composition. The project also involves live events using bodypainting on life models to explain health and disease progression. The aim is to collaborate with models, performance artists, body painters and photographers.
