Hello, I've returned to painting and drawing after many years and am pleased ,so far, to have found this website. I left school at 16 and went straight to art school for five years (1967 - 1972). I then spent another five years training as a wood carver. Specifically a picture frame carver (not many of those about!). I opened my own workshop in 1978 and am still working although I have diversified from just frames. You can see a full picture on my website. I'm an accredited conservator and was honoured with an MBE in 2018 for services to carving, gilding and conservation. I'd like to surpass my earlier work but I'm not there yet.
